Geric and Daddy Go to Utah

I hope Devan and Heather and their readers don't mind but I thought that their blog was the best spot to share the pics of Devan and Geric during their trip to Utah! Last week, Devan and Geric made a trip to Utah because of the death of Devan's Grandpa Nelson. It was so nice seeing them and it was fun seeing how much Geric has grown in something other than pictures. The Grandparents were especially happy to see their little grandson that they have missed seeing grow up so far.

Geric had quite the week with his first time away from his Mom for more than a few hours, his first plane ride, re-meeting his grandparents and some of his great grandparents and his first funeral. He behaved wonderfully and was the star where ever he went. I think it was a really hard week on my brother Devan though with all that happened and being away from his little family, but he handled it all well too. I think everyone's only regret is that Devan's whole family couldn't come too...but we had all of you in our thoughts.

Ruby's 5th Birthday!

We did our best to make Ruby's day special. Daddy and Mommy checked her out of school early and took her out to lunch. We then took her shopping (should have taken pictures of that) to pick out her present. We took her out to the Disney outlet store and she picked Jasmine and Aladdin Barbie (once again didn't think to take pictures) and an Ariel night gown.


Daddy made her a cake and we celebrated as a family. She is wearing her night gown. She put it on as soon as we got home.





I attempted to do a friend birthday party but was unsuccessful. Only one friend showed up. I really didn't know who to invite. Daddy was a little peeved I bought a cake, but it was her first store bought cake.

Sorry, no pics!!

Sorry I haven't posted any pictures. I am having trouble downloading pictures from my camera to my computer. I hope to get it fixed soon. We are all doing well. We miss everyone a ton. I don't know what else to write. Rachael, thank you for changing my background. You are so sweet to take the time to change it. I really appreciate it. As soon as I get things figured out, I'll post pics. Love you all.

This is Geric on 5-10-2009. Just thought I'd post something knew. I'm glad it finally is working.

Just wanted to see if i could post a short clip. This is Devan when he first learned to swim. He is a much better swimmer now and can easily swim the length of the pool.

I thought I'd take a picture of him in an outfit you all have seen him in before he completely out grew it. This was taken on May 18, 2009. He now has officially outgrown this outfit.



I can't believe Geric is eight months today. He has one tooth that he got about a month ago and his second one is just starting to break through. I hope you can see his tooth on this picture.

Last Day of School

David and Ruby both had a water party. Fortunately they were on different days.



I was very fortunate that all the kids had excellent teachers that fit their personalities. I hope next year I am as blessed as I and the kids were this year. David and Ruby's teachers are sisters.
